Message: I used JFM for years with no problems whatsoever. It is a lot less work, let's face it. But for some reason, I applied it one night and then showered ten minutes later (or whatever it was) just as I always have. Holy crap! About 4AM, I woke up and my face was not only on fire but it was itching like crazy. I finally relented and went to the ER about 6 and they gave me some sort of medicine to calm it down and told me never to use it again and I haven't. I don't know if they changed the ingrediants of it or what. Anyway, I've been using this for over two years now with no reactions whatsoever. I'm a big believer!!!!

Message: Your product are the absolute best for restoring natural beard color, hands down! Have tried JFM, with the usual toxic results, and blackbeard for men,which has the texture of melted crayon. Message: A follow-up from last summer... still using the product and still loving it. But I wanted to echo what "D-Rock" wrote... the instructions aside, a very light, carefully brushed-in application in the morning is also very effective, for touch-ups, in addition (or even as an alternative) to the method I described before. I just wish this stuff were distributed in local stores!...

Message: Thanks for a great product!! Used JFM for over ten years/ never a problem. In early 2010 I started to experience a chronic skin rash. Contacted the company but they failed to acknowledge any formula changes. I genuinely want to say Thank-you!! It's nice not to have an itchy, burning face anymore.

Message: OK, guys. I've found the best way to use the product for a close-cropped beard is to lightly brush it into the beard after your morning shower and shave/trim. If you brush it on with the "eyelash" brush provided and let it dry for a few minutes, it coats the hairs enough to add color directly and allows the hairs themselves to absorb the color over time. You can't just slather it on and walk out the door. That much of a coating stains your skin.

Message: Great stuff! Like many I developed a nasty reaction to JFM, so I was delighted to find this alternative. (I only get about 14 uses, not 20, but I have a fairly full beard.) The instructions could use some work, though. "Let it dry and leave it on" really won't do, not to go out in public... I'd look like I rubbed a marker on my face. What I've found works is to let it dry, leave it for a while--e.g., while sleeping overnight--then rinse (but no shampoo). I used it daily for the first week, then switched to every other day. The result is very natural-looking color that deepens over time. "Dark brown" gives my gray a golden-brown tone (but not "yellow-green"!), not the reddish it once had, but it's better than the solid brown JFM leaves.

Message: The product arrived leaking, which is probably a bad sign. I tried it yesterday and it did not seem to stick to my beard at all. Today the same results. A dye should actually stick on the hair. The product so far shows zero signs of any dye attribute.
